Dear Parents, Guardians and Carer’s,
Yesterday I was privileged to attend my first whole school mass at St Gabriel’s. It was a truly beautiful mass which celebrated all of the many mums, grandmothers and significant mother role models in our students' lives. Fr Peter Bickley came back to school for a visit and he commented on how special it was for him to see the church full of the St Gabriel’s community again. Thank you to all those who attended and made our first full school mass in 2 years such a wonderful experience.
A big thank you to Mrs Phillips for preparing the mass and our students who read so confidently and beautifully. It is very daunting to stand in front of a full church as a young student and they did it with ease. Also thank you to Mrs Mendez & Mrs Reid who joined Mrs Phillips in providing live music. You were all amazing.
Today the P&F held their annual Mother’s Day stall which was a huge success, we hope you all love your special gifts on Sunday.
During the holidays our school captains represented our school at the ANZAC Day service. Thank you to Mrs Kennedy & Mrs McGrath for supporting them at this event. You all did a wonderful job during the march and laying of the wreath.
SchoolsTV
Our school is now licensed to have access to SchoolTV, a new online resource that provides credible and sound information with realistic, practical ongoing support strategies for parents in their endeavour to raise happy, healthy and resilient young people.
Topics are handled sensitively to suit primary aged children and to support families in many different areas of Wellbeing such as; anxiety, cyberbullying, school transitioning, bullying, resilience and blended families, to name a few. A range of well known authors and psychologists, such as Dr Michael Carr-Gregg, have shared their thoughts on some of the topics too.
Links to specifically relevant articles, videos and information, will regularly appear in our school newsletter.
A link to our School TV will be placed under the new Parent Information Tab on our school website: https://www.stgtraralgon.catholic.edu.au

Prep Enrolments 2023
Signing children in and out of school
If your child needs to leave early, or has an appointment, then parents must sign in when they return/arrive. A note must be supplied to the classroom teacher so that they are aware of why the child is leaving and they can then record the absence. Alternatively this can be entered as PNA via PAM.
If your child is unwell to speed up their recovery by not allowing your child to return to school until they are fully recovered.
