Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
We hope you had an enjoyable long weekend in the beautiful weather. This week we find ourselves at the halfway mark of term 4. So many events have happened already and we still have a number of events coming up prior to the end of term. Week 5 in particular was a busy one.
Wednesday 1st November we had 7 students: Anna, Ali, Elicia, Paige, Stella, Ella & Jerzey compete at the State Athletics in Albert Park.
Anna competed in Under 11 Hurdles: finishing with a Bronze Medal and also finishing 8th in the 100m. What an amazing achievement.
Anna, Paige, Stella and Ella made up our Under 11 Relay team and finished in 10th place.
Elicia competed in the Under 10 girls 100m finishing in 9th place
Jerzey competed in the Under 10 Boys 1500m finishing in 11th place.
Ali competed in the 12/13 Girls 800m & 1500m finishing 16th & 13th respectively.
Congratulations to each and everyone of you, we are extremely proud of you all.
Last week we welcomed almost 500 grandparents or special persons through our doors on Wednesday morning. The students were very excited to share their learning with you all and we thank you for being part of this very special day.
We also held the official Opening and Blessing of our building project which was completed in June this year. Thank you to all those involved in preparing for and participating in the ceremony. A special mention to our grades: Prep Green, 1 Green, 2 Blue, 3 Red, 4 Red, 5 Red & 6 Green who represented our student body. You were exceptional. Finally to our school captains: Aliza, Anna, Harry & Nate your contribution was outstanding.
Rehearsals are in full swing for our upcoming school production to be held on Tuesday 21st November. There is a lot of excitement amongst both students and teachers as the date is drawing nearer. Permission details are currently out at the moment for students to travel on both Monday 20th (rehearsal) & matinee performance on Tuesday 21st. Please note both dates are included on the one form.
Finally we will now be returning to our Monday afternoon assembly timeslot. Our next assembly will be held on Monday 13th November.
Kind Regards
Michelle
