Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
The weather is certainly having its ups and downs with us this year and I hope that not too many of you were impacted during last week's storm event.
Drop Off and Pick Up Zone.
To ensure all of our children are kept safe, I would like to take this opportunity to remind people of how this area works.
If using this designated yellow drop off zone children are expected to exit the car from the left hand side directly on to the curb. Bags should be in the car with the children. Children should not be opening boots and getting bags out as this puts them in harm's way if a car behind them was to not stop or the driver was to accidentally put their foot on the accelerator.
Ensure children exit the car once you have entered the designated drop off area. We have children exiting and entering cars back at the disabled car parks or earlier which is also putting them potentially in harm's way.
To ensure the traffic flows once your children have exited your car safely please pull out into the first through lane.
If you need to access bags from the boot, we ask that you please park. Please then use the footpath and zebra crossing to get to Gate B for access to the school grounds.
Since the return to school I have received weekly complaints from the residents of Rangeview Drive in regards to the access to their properties getting blocked during our pick up time. As previously communicated all residents have the right to access their properties at all times and parents should not be parking over their driveway.
As our finish time is 3.20pm we ask that parents do not arrive before 3pm to find parking or join the drop off line.
Medication Requirements
We understand that children often require medication during school hours. If your child does require medication please ensure that you complete a medication form at the office with details of medication, dosage etc. Please be advised that medication cannot be sent to school or home from school with children in their bags.
NAPLAN FOR YEAR 3s AND YEAR 5s
This year NAPLAN is occurring from March 13th through to March 25th. It is an online assessment that occurs nationally each year for grades 3, 5, 7 and 9. Each child that sits these tests receives a copy of their results measuring where they sit against the State and National grade level cohort. The school uses the data from this testing to measure teacher impact and inform future planning.
NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit each year. It is the only national assessment all Australian students have the opportunity to undertake. NAPLAN information for parents and carers brochure is available on the VCAA website. It is available in a range of languages.

Parent/Teacher Interviews
Bookings are now open via PAM for our upcoming Parent/Teacher interviews to be held on Monday 18th & Tuesday 19th March from 3.30-6.00pm.
One of the things The Resilience Project teaches us is to be grateful.
The Year 2 students have thought about the things that we are grateful for and how lucky we are to have these in our lives.
When we see something that we value, we point to it and say "Dis!"
We have also presented many of these things in our Gratitude Hearts.
