Dear Parents, Guardians and Carers,
Here we are in our final week of the term. Term 3 has been a very busy one with 2 school camps for years 5 & 6, Sacrament of Reconciliation and a number of sporting events.
Last Thursday as a school we had a special focus on R U OK? Day with all staff and students adding a touch of yellow and completing activities within the classroom. R U OK? Day is our National Day of Action when we remind Australians that every day is the day to ask, 'are you OK?' and start a meaningful conversation whenever they spot the signs that someone they care about might be struggling with life.
Student Safety at drop off and pick up time is of our utmost importance and I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to please drive carefully and follow all road rules etc during this time. Also a reminder that if parking at these times that parents and children should be using the designated crossing to access the school. Please do not cross the drive through area directly.
A reminder that school finishes at 1pm on Friday 20th September and that no buses will be running at this time. We hope you have a safe and enjoyable term 3 break. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday October 7th.
Key dates:
- 20th September - Term 3 ends at 1pm
- Monday 7th October- Term 4 begins
- Friday 11th October- District Cricket Blast Competition
- Friday 25th October- P&F Colour Run
Kind Regards
Michelle

CHILD SAFETY & WELLBEING
St. Gabriel's Primary School is a child safe school. We are committed to embedding a culture of Child Safety, adhering to the Victorian Child Safe Standards: Managing the Risk of Child Abuse in Schools and School Boarding Premises (Ministeral Order No. 1359).
We believe that ensuring the safety of the students in our care is an integral part of who we are as a Catholic faith community. The school acts in accordance with the Ministerial Order through policies, procedures, measures and practices, staff training and, ultimately, through the strategies used in working with the students and families within our school community.
We continue to maintain and develop a safe and supportive learning environment where staff are focused on engaging students in meaningful, relevant and challenging learning experiences.
If at any time you have any issues or concerns you feel you need to raise please contact our Principal: Michelle Charlton or our Child Safety Officers: Alison Phillips or Jo Quinn on 5174 5515.
